Primarily deeds, title abstracts, mortgages and receipts related to property owned by Morgan B. Brainard and his mother Mary B. Brainard in Hartford, West Hartford and Fenwick, Connecticut. Also contains correspondence, both incoming and outgoing, including three letters from George D. Seymour about Nathan Hale, 1920-1921; minutes, correspondence and maps of the Board of Water Commissioners in the city of Hartford; correspondence and probate records concerning the estate of Mary B. Brainard; a copy of Morgan's birth certificate, his application to join the Sons of the American Revolution, and some insurance papers.
